Yep, 3rd one!
Quick thread for now. Will update it a lot over time. For now enjoy some quick rules. We will be playing Gen 4 remember. Also, if there is interest I will run a separate event for double battles. Time frame is still up in the air. After some interest shows up we'll start discussing it.
I will be giving out some prizes. The prizes depend on the turn-out, and will be in the form of Steam games, or, if you prefer, TF2 items.
Not sure if we're doing a double elimination, or preliminary rounds that will be used to seed onto a single elimination ladder.
If double elimination, all battles will be with 6-man teams. If single elimination with prelims, the prelim rounds will be 3-man teams, and elimination rounds 6-man teams. Let me know which you'd rather do.
You may not have two of the same Pokemon on your team, and you may only use one of each hold item (every Pokemon must have a different hold item from the others on the team). This is to discourage some stupid stuff that can be done...most of which are dumb things I've come up with.
You may change your team up as much as you desire between rounds. You are not limited to the same team for every battle.
One-hit KO moves are banned. No one really uses them, but when they do get used and they work there's always a lot of bitching, so we're just not using them.
Legendaries are ok, but ubers are banned. Here's the banned list:
Mewtwo
Mew
Lugia
Ho-oh
Celebi
Latias
Latios
Kyogre
Groudon
Rayquaza
Jirachi
Deoxys
Dialga
Palkia
Regigigas
Giratina
Manaphy
Darkrai
Shaymin
Arceus
If you have any questions or suggestions let me here them.
Until I update this thread, use the old thread for quick guides on EV training, IVs, and breeding in general if you're interested in that kind of thing.
Or for everything in general, use Serebii and Bulbapedia.
Lastly, if you're interested in getting Pokerus let me know and I'll be glad to send it your way. I also have practically every Pokemon, so if there's one you want but can't get let me know and I'll breed one for you.
