I give it a B-. Really impressed by the Vita being $250 and $300 (3g). No twisted metal or Last guardian really hurt. No surprises either.
Microsoft got an F. MW3 was their big game, no interest.

Yeah, the price on the Vita really blew me away (which was about the only thing that did). But what a shock! I swear I had expected the regular to be around $400 and the 3G to be $500... Considering it's supposed to be near PS3's power with cameras and touch screens...
LOVE the games that will be on both systems and allow you to transfer game saves. THAT is what I have always wanted in a console/portable combo! MNR!!!
But yeah, a little pissed there was no Twisted Metal featured...

Surprised by no Last Guardian. Twisted Metal was featured on GameTrailers earlier in the day and was looking absolutely sick (and this coming from someone who's never played the games or had any interest before).
Was definitely impressed with the Vita and the functionality they had on display. Here's hoping all the promised interactions between Vita and PS3 come through since I know console-makers have a tendency to show off that sort of stuff and then have it never get utilized or mentioned again.
+1 to Tretton for the dig at Hirai and the Ridge Racer comment.
It's clear that Sony's job here was to prove that they're still relevant and can push the 3D angle and have it be affordable. I'm simply wowed by that TV and that was one of the true shocks for me of the conference so far (other than Mass Effect looking like your typical run'n'gun planetary destruction shooter...seriously?).
Microsoft failed earlier, Sony broke fairly even, and it's Nintendo's to win...for the second year in a row.

Microsoft's conference actually kind of impressed me in a weird sort of way, mostly in the afterthought of it. Don't get me wrong, I was bored as shit and did not walk away wanting an Xbox. But...
X-box is already known by the majority of "core" gamers as the system to own. X-box IS a "core" gaming device. So why spend time preaching to the choir?
With Kinect, X-box ALSO gains potential to become a "family" console. So that's where they put a lot of their focus.
I don't have any desire to use my "fingers" and what not as a controller without HOLDING a controller (watching that guy "open" his hand to fire made me laugh and cry at the same time, for the same reason). BUT, some of the things that nice little camera can do impressed me (especially after seeing how shitty the PS Eye looks).
Though, I do want to know, if that chick had been totally naked, what would her avatar ended up looking like?
Anyway, Nintendo has been a little complacent about their "hold" on the casual market, and I think MS has the chance to scoop up some of that audience. Sony has a really hard core machine, but it's a machine that has been plagued by high costs, low support, low numbers, and now constant hacking. Their take on "casual" has been lackluster as well.
Before tonight, I forgot the Move thing even existed... And I HAVE it!!!
I will be really curious to see what "N" brings tomorrow. Cafe... Will it be their polar opposite to the Wii, focusing again on Core gaming alone? Will it be the machine that totally combines Casual and Core? Or will it try and do both, but fail at both?
I can't wait to see...

So... nothing on a P5, right? Ok then, no interest.

So... nothing on a P5, right? Ok then, no interest. Starhawk. Motherfucking starhawk. It's all you need. Also some move shit, Resistence 3, and such. Compared to microsoft, it was a godlike conference.

Twisted Metal may not have been in the actual conference, but there's a sweet trailer (pun intended) at the Home E3 booth, and you get a SICK ass Sweet Tooth Mask at some point in the E3 booth (has to do with watching the trailers, blah blah blah). I know, Home is pretty pointless, but still... Fuckin Sweet Tooth Mask!!!
Also, I'm REALLY excited for the PSV! And I cannot wait to play ModNation Racers on PSV! Only thing is, from what I've seen, MNR on PS3 to PSV is kind of like LBP to LBP2 from what I've seen, and how I understand it. MNR tracks/mods/karts will transfer to PSV version, but not the other way around...
If that is true, I wish it were more like Ruin + Wipeout...
